Alfred M. Cohen, president of B’nai B’rith, attended yesterday’s reception at the White House when President Roosevelt was presented with a check for $1,000,000 for the Warm Springs Foundation.
The invitation was extended to Mr. Cohen in recognition of the active cooperation of B’nai B’rith in the country-wide campaign to raise funds on President Roosevelt’s birthday, January 30.
All the 403 B’nai B’rith lodges in the United States participated in the campaign, some arranging separate affairs and others joining in community celebrations in hundreds of cities.
