The assertion that Col. Josef M. Beck, Foreign Minister of Poland who is responsible for the friendly policy which the Polish government has adopted toward Nazi Germany, is “of partly Jewish origin,” is made here in the English press.
The English press also pays a good deal of attention to the recently concluded Anglo-Polish trade agreement, declaring that Polish exporters will find a market in England for articles which were hitherto imported from Germany.
In connection with the Anglo-Polish trade compact, it was pointed out here today that there has been a marked increase in the exchange of goods between Poland and Palestine during the past year. Poland imported from Palestine during 1934 goods to the value of 1,058,000 zlotys and had exported to Palestine goods with a value of 9,067,000 ###tys.
