An agreement was signed between Histadrut and the Coordinating Committee of Economic Organizations last night providing a 10.1 percent increase in the cost-of-living allowance, retroactive to April 1. The Committee represents all employers in Israel. The maximum COL allowance will be IL 404 per month, subject to income tax. The increase, however, amounts to only 70 percent of the actual rise in living costs.
