Dr. Julius Morgenstern, president of the Hebrew Union College, Cincinnati, was the guest speaker tonight at the tenth annual commencement exercises of the College of Jewish Studies in the Fullerton Hall of the Art Institute.
Rabbi Samuel M. Blumenfield, registrar, presented the graduates. Dr. Felix A. Levy, chairman of the College Board, awarded the diplomas. Dr. Leo L. Honor, executive director of the Chicago Board of Jewish Education, and Louis M. Cahn, president of the Board, greeted the graduates.
Those receiving diplomas were Sarah Friedman, Ruth Greenberg, Bessie Resser, Benjamin Berenbaum, Ruth Padnos, Claire R. Shanas, Bertha Sokolow and Minnie Weiss.
The Students’ Organization issued a literary annual in English and Hebrew to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the college.
