The practice of requesting and recording applicants for employment as Catholics, Protestants and Jews has been discontinued by the Colorado State Employment Service, the Commission on Economic Problems of the American Jewish Congress reported today. The action followed negotiations by State Senator A.B. Hirschfeld of Denver, a member of the Governing Council of the Congress.
The Commission on Economic Problems is continuing its efforts to secure the elimination of the question of religion by state employment bureaus throughout the country, Chairman J.X Cohen stated.
