Colorado voters rejected a ballot measure that would have authorized tax credits for private school tuition. The proposed amendment to the state constitution, which would have allowed parents to claim tax credits of up to $2,500 toward their children’s tuition in the private school of their choice, was defeated by 59 percent to 41 percent. A similar school voucher measure was rejected six years ago by a 2-to-1 margin.
