Gifts to Columbia niversity aggregating $51,543.01 were announced yesterday by Dr. Frank D. Fackthenthal, secretary of the niversity. A group of donors gave $370 for a study of racial and social differences in mental abilities conducted under the Council for Research in Social Sciences. Other contributors included Ude M. Reinach who gave $2,500 to establish “the Bulletin of the Neurological Institute Fund,” and Mrs. Maxim Steinbach who gave $300 for the Friedman Tuberculosis Fund in the Department of Bacteriology.

Harry Jackson, English actor who died in 1885, was noted for his caricatures of Jewish characters. He resembled Napoleon.
