The 1958 Combined Jewish Appeal of Greater Boston will reach an estimated $5,426,000 when all solicitations are completed, according to chairman Joseph M. Linsey.
Louis P. Smith, president of the Combined Jewish Appeal, and Dewey D. Stone, national chairman of the United Jewish Appeal, called the campaign results “an inspiration to the Jewish communities of the rest of the country.” They added that when final contributions were tallied, “we will have maintained our enviable reputation as leaders in philanthropy.”
