An amount of $50,000 toward the Palestine Emergency Fund was allotted yesterday by the Joint Distribution Committee at a special meeting.
The meeting was presided over by James N. Rosenberg, who returned from Zurich several days ago. The amount was voted on the condition, specified in an accompanying letter, that it be expended under the joint direction of the officers of the Joint Distribution Committee and David A. Brown, chairman of the Palestine Emergency Fund.
Mr. Rosenberg, informing Mr. Brown of the decision of the Committee in the letter, stated that it was important that all contributions be sent directly to the Palestine Emergency Fund.
