Committee Asks Aid for Christian Refugees from Germany

An appeal to Christian clergymen to support a fund-raising drive in behalf of Christian refugees from Germany was issued today by the American Christian Committee for Refugees from Germany, which held a conference at the Riverside Church, attended by 80 Protestant leaders. Speakers included James G. McDonald, Prof. Paul Tillich, Dr. Henry Smith Leiper, Prof. John Whyte and Dr. Harry Emerson Fosdick, who presided. A minimum of $400,000 was set to aid 20,000, refugees.
