Emulating the United States and England, a group of leading personalities in Palestine today formed a committee to provide medical and technical aid to Soviet Russia.
The committee announced its formation by issuing an appeal to the Yishub to join in the effort of organizing the maximum possible assistance for the Soviet people in their fight against Nazi aggression. Among those who signed the appeal are Prof. Martin Buber, Prof. Saul Adler, the famous writers Max Brod and Arnold Zweig, the Habimah actress Chanah Rovina, and others.
