Mr. Meyer W. Weisgal, head of the Weizmann Institute of Science at Rehovoth, has been appointed by Premier David Ben Gurion as chairman of the executive committee for the Tenth Anniversary of the State of Israel. The Central Anniversary Committee has been entrusted with the task “to coordinate, initiate and organize a program of events and functions relating to the observance in Israel and abroad of the Tenth Anniversary.” The anniversary celebration period is to last a full year, from April 15, 1958 to April 14, 1959.
