Inclusion of Israel in the Mutual Security program involves reliance by the United States on support by the American Jewish community enabling Israel “to deal with its very difficult problems and to secure its independence,” Rep. Jacob K. Javits told the annual donor luncheon of the Mizrachi Women’s Organization here today. The American Jewish community, he said, “must assume the need for extraordinary assistance for Israel alone in the magnitude of $100,000,000 a year for a period of another five years,” in addition to basic investment in Israel’s industry and agriculture through the bond drive.
