The Central Committee of the Communist Party intends to dissolve the Yevsektzia, Jewish section of the Communist Party, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns from reliable sources. The liquidation is expected to take place this week. According to the decision Communist work among the Jews will henceforth be conducted by the Central Committee itself through a special instructor appointed for that purpose.

The decision to liquidate the Yevsektzia will be a tremendous relief for the Jewish economic position for the Central Committee’s decision says clearly that a demarcation is to be established between the orders of the Communist Party and the orders of the Soviet government, whereby the Communist instructor will be authorized to deal with matters concerning the party only, but not to interfere with the orders of the Union Central Executive Committee of the Soviet cabinet as was done by the Yevsektzia when representing Jewish interests. The liquidating decision has not been published in the Communist press.
