Incite Demonstration in Jerusalem; Question Up in Commons (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
Alleged harsh treatment of political prisoners by the Palestine government was the cause for a demonstration which took place Sunday.
Several hundred workers, incited by Communist propaganda, marched through the streets of Jerusalem bearing banners protesting against the beating of political prisoners.
The government in a statement to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency correspondent here declared that no flagellation is practiced or intended as punishment for political prisoners. The Communist group among the workers distributed proclamations calling upon the Workers Council in Jerusalem to proclaim Monday as a day of general strike in protest.
