An uproar was caused today when non-Jewish Communists attempted to halt a meeting under the auspices of the League for Work in Palestine. Furniture was overthrown when members tried to resist the attack and fights started around the hall. Many were slightly wounded and police were forced to intervene and eject the disturbers. The meeting then continued with addresses by S. Kaplan Kaplansky, leader of the Poale Zion, Zionist group, and M. Sprinzak.
