Billy Rose, New York impressario, disclosed today he had reached a compromise agreement with Orthodox elements of Jerusalem who felt that some of the pieces in the sculpture garden he has contributed to Israel might be in violation of the Biblical ban on graven images.
Mr. Rose said that the compromise was based on the understanding that if any of the non-abstract items proved to be “too literal” they would be moved indoors and out of general sight.
