The Joint Foreign Committee at a meeting today expressed grave concern at reports coming from “most authoritative sources” regarding the progressing economic depression of Polish Jewry.
The committee disclosed it is considering the situation with organizations here and abroad from the ameliorative viewpoint.
Considerable anxiety has been aroused, it was stated, by the renewed agitation in the Polish Parliament for Jewish mass emigration and particularly over the statement by Boguslav Miodzinski, vice-president of the Sejm, that Poland has room for only 50,000 Jews.
