The Stradivarius String Quartet donated its services for a concert in the Phoenix Club, an exclusive Jewish organization, for the benefit of German scholars of all creeds who have been displaced by the Nazi regime from their university posts.

Bernard Flexner, of New York, announced that funds raised by the local concert and one in Philadelphia, together with equal grants from the Rockefeller Foundation, would provide grants to two scholars for two years each in this country. Last night’s receipts were reported at $1,200.
