The eighteenth season of the Stadium Concerts presented by the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra at the Lewisohn Stadium of City College will open Wednesday evening with a program featuring Albert Spalding, violinist, and including Wagner’s “Meistersinger Overture” and Beethoven’s “Fifth Symphony.”

Mayor LaGuardia will be introduced by Mrs. Henry Breckinridge, chairman of the Municipal Art Committee, during the intermission.

Jose Iturbi will conduct the orchestra Saturday night in a program including the overture to the “Marriage of Figaro,” by Mozart, Brahms’ “Symphony No. 1 in C Minor” and Wagner’s “Siegfried Idyl,” “Funeral March” from “Gotterdommerung” and prelude and finale from “Tristan and Isolde.”

The Fokine Ballet will give its first performances the following Monday and Tuesday. The 1935 Stadium Concerts will run for eight weeks. Willem von Hoogstraten will conduct the orchestra during the last three weeks.
