A commission to inquire into the position of unskilled labor in Palestine was appointed by the government, it was learned today.
The task of the commission will be to ascertain the difference in the standard of living of the Arab and Jewish workmen. This is being undertaken in connection with the problem of allotting the contracts for public works instituted by the government on an equitable basis to Jewish and Arab workers. The commission will be assisted by representatives of the Arab and Jewish workers.
