A Pro-Palestine Conference attended by more than a thousand delegates representing all Jewish groups throughout the nation today adopted a resolution expressing disbelief that great Britain would depart from its obligations with regard to Palestine. An ovation greeted reading of a message from Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, in which he expressed solidarity with the aims of the conference and reiterated that the Jews would never accept a minority status in Palestine. Speakers included Chief Rabbi Moses Schorr, Daniel Auster, vice-mayor of Jerusalem, David Remez, Palestine labor leader, and Rabbi Meir Isaac Lewin, head of the Agudath Israel of Poland.
