Plans for the Centenary Celebration of Congregation Emanu-El have been formulated here by a special committee headed by Roger W. Strauss. The plans provide for centenary services, publications, dinners, institutes and other activities to be conducted, beginning in the fall of this year and ending in the spring of 1945. The congregation was founded April 5, 1845 by the great grandparents of many of those who still worship in Temple Emanuel.
