Rep. Earl Chudoff, Pennsylvania Democrat, asked Congress this week-end to provide that the Mikveh Israel Cemetery in Philadelphia be made a national shrine. The cemetery, according to the measure, contains the graves of Haym Salomon and other outstanding patriots who played a role in the early days of the founding of the United States.
