The prediction that the Palestine resolutions pending in both houses of the U. S. Congress “will pass overwhelmingly when the proper time comes,” and also that “that time is not far off,” was made here today by Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, chairman of the American Zionist Emergency Council.
Dr. Silver emphasized that he made this prediction on the basis of the pro-Zionist planks included in the Republican and Democratic platforms, and also in view of the fact that more than 400 members of the Senate and House of Representatives — seventy-seven percent of the Congress — have gone on record in support of Jewish aspirations in Palestine.
