A bi-partisan eight-man U.S. Congressional committee arrived at Lydda Airport today for a two-day visit in Israel before continuing its tour of inspection of the manner in which funds allocated by the World Health Organization and the International Refugee Organization are being used.
The delegation will proceed tomorrow to Jerusalem and will return to Tel Aviv to attend a dinner tendered in their behalf by U.S. Ambassador James G. MacDonald. Premier David Ben Gurion, Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett, Finance Minister Eliezer Kaplan, Labor Minister Golda Myerson and other top Israel leaders will also attend.
