Continued anti-Jewish excesses in Roumania have had an effect on the emigration of Polish Jews to Palestine. Many emigrants are refraining from leaving for Palestine in view of the danger they would encounter when passing through Roumania.

The Palestine Bureau of the Zionist Organization of Poland has directed a request to the Association of Roumanian Steamship lines to take measures to secure the life and property of migrants. Otherwise they will be compelled to direct the Jewish emigrants through other ports.
