Premier Levi Eshkol pledged last night a “sympathetic approach” by the Government to help Hebrew writers in their work, and to help publish their writings in Israel and abroad.

The Premier made the pledge at opening ceremonies of the biennial convention here of the Hebrew Writers Union. Among those present was President Shazar. The Premier said Hebrew writers had a mission to tell the new generation about the meaning of the Nazi holocaust and the establishment of Israel.
