A resolution urging the United States Government to ratify the United Nations Genocide Convention was adopted here today at the 40th anniversary convention of the National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods. The Federation, which has a membership of 85, 000, also urged the government to continue its efforts to draft covenants to strengthen the international Declaration on Human Rights.
The convention also urged the Sisterhoods to intensify their interest in religious schools and religious education. It congratulated the State of Israel for the continued strength and growth it has demonstrated in its first five years of existence. Mrs. Hugo Dalsheimer of Baltimore was elected president of the Federation.
