There is apparently no limit to the do-it-yourself principle. Kozo Okamoto, who is serving a life sentence for his role in the mass murder at Lod Airport two years ago, tried to circumcise himself in jail. As a direct consequence of his efforts to learn more about Judaism, he decided some time ago (Maariv, which reported the story Friday did not have the exact time), to find out how it was to be Jewish–from the very beginning. He took a pair of nail clippers and tried to operate on himself in a kind of do-it-yourself circumcision. The operation apparently did not quite prove as successful as he wanted it to be. The Japanese terrorist who had come to Israel to kill Jews was hospitalized. His wounds are healing.
