Jewish circles are aroused at the open proselyting being carried on here among the Jewish youth. For the second time this month a case was reported of a Jewish conversion to Catholicism.

Isaac Saltiel, 19-year-old son of a Jewish merchant, announcing his decision to become a Catholic priest, suddenly disappeared and is believed to be hidden in a Jesuit seminary in France. The Greek government has intervened at the request of the parents and French police are now searching for the young man.

Recently Anna Levy, Athens Jewish girl, was converted by nuns.
