President Coolidge believes Congress will extend the present restrictive immigration law at the expiration of the time limit next June 30. He favors restriction and is convinced that a majority of the members of the Senate and House do.
The opposition to some provisions of the immigration law is widespread, but not strong enough to compel a revision.
