Senator Royal S. Copeland, in the twelfth of a series of articles published in the Hearst newspapers today, charges that the Palestine Government is not fulfilling the Mandatory pledge to encourage close settlement by Jews on the land.

He accuses the Government of discrimination against the Jews and favoring the Arabs in disposition of state lands.

In some cases, he states, Arab leaders who agitate against Jewish acquisition of lands are those who sell them. “No impartial observer of Palestine today could find any basis for the agitation against the extension of Jewish agriculture, which has set the pace for the rebirth of the Holy Land,” he asserts.
