The Copley Society of Boston, the most prominent art society in America, has decided to exhibit the paintings of Abraham Maniewitch, well known Russian-Jewish artist, who is at present in this country. The canvasses will be on exhibition in the salon of the Copley Society from January 1st to February 1st, 1925.
Mr. Maniewitch, whose work has received high praise from the art critics in Europe and in America, exhibited his paintings last year at the Anderson Galleries and at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, which purchased two of his canvasses for permanent exhibition. Some of Mr. Maniewitch’s paintings have for several years now been on exhibition in Paris and London. “The Destruction of the Ghetto” one of his most striking pictures, has called forth a great deal of comment.
