Corneliu Zelea Codreanu’s pro-Fascist Iron Guard, whose voluntary dissolution Codreanu Himself announced on Feb. 21, has secretly redoubled its subversive propaganda since that date, it was learned tonight.
Codreanu officially dissolved his group, also known as the “All For the Fatherland” party, just a day after King Carol announced his new authoritarian Constitution, which among other things, abolished all political parties. Codreanu also stated then that he was going into retirement in Italy and advised his followers to devote themselves to their trades and professions and forget politics.
However, contrary to his public announcement, the pro-Fascist leader has not left Rumania, and his group is continuing intense activity, as recent arrests of many Iron Guard Followers have shown.
