Cornell Student Wins B’nai B’rith Award for Jewish Novel “the Phantom People”

Frank Goldman, national president of the B’nai B’rith, last night presented the annual Abram Leon Sachar award to Isidor Rabinovich, a special student at Cornell University and former Yeshiva student, for his novel, “The Phantom People” based upon his travels abroad, including three months in Palestine before the establishment of Israel. The novel is not yet published. The award carries a $500 cash stipend and assistance in publishing the manuscript by the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundations.
