The sixty-fifth anniversary of the founding of the Adas Israel Congregation will be celebrated on the evening of March 7. Speakers for the occasion include Representative Herman P. Koppleman of Hartford, Conn., Rabbi Margolist of Mount Vernon, N. Y., and District Commissioners Allen and Hazen.
The Adas Israel Congregation is one of the oldest congregations in the city. The corner-stone of the building was laid by President Grant. At this anniversary’s celebration, the Civil War hero’s grandson, Lieut. Col. U. S. Grant 3rd, will be among the speakers. The speaking program will be followed by a buffet supper given under the auspices of the Adas Israel Sisterhood. Arrangements for the anniversary Celebration are in charge of Edward Rosenblum.
