The regular weekly picketing of Radio Station WMCA on Broad way at 51st Street by 300 supporters of Father Charles E. Coughlin, in protest against the station’s refusal to carry the “radio priest’s” broadcasts, was climaxed today by clashes with persons distributing anti-Nazi literature in nearby streets. One of the distributors was injured and one Coughlinite, John Dugan, 50, was arrested. Literature being distributed included pamphlets illustrating the similarity between articles by Father Coughlin in his organ Social Justice and articles published by Reich Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels.
