Coughlin, “who has seemed from time to time to draw his inspiration from Nazi sources,” a reading of the memorandum on Poland issued by the Vatican. The atrocities in Poland, “were not done by the Russians, whom Father Coughlin has so often reviled, but by the German Gestapo,” the editorial emphasized.
