The Security Council is expected to resume deliberations tomorrow afternoon on the situation on the West Bank. According to unconfirmed reports, an Egyptian-initiated draft resolution was accepted at a meeting of Arab delegates today. No details were available on the nature of the resolution. It is understood, however, that Egypt is anxious to conclude the debate this week. The Security Council convened more than two weeks ago at the urgent request of Egypt to debate the current unrest on the West Bank. While it is still officially in session, debate was suspended because of disagreement among the Arab delegates on the nature of their resolution.
