Council for Judaism Asks Congressional Committee to Broaden Immigration Law

Alfred M. Lilienthal, a Washington attorney and spokesman for the American Council for Judaism, today appeared “before the Senate subcommittee on immigration and naturalization with a recommendation urging the broadening of existing immigration legislation.

Emphasizing that the Council is concerned with the advancement of American national interests, Lilienthal declared that the United States, in the face of a declining birth rate and restricted immigration, is falling behind other nations in population growth.
