The four-day annual conference of the American Council for Judaism concluded here last night with charges, voiced by Rabbi Elmer Berger, executive director of the organization, that the Zionists "contrive to equate objectivity about the Middle East with anti-Semitism."
"American foreign service officers and other Americans who know there are more states in the Middle East than Israel, are branded as anti-Semites," Rabbi Berger said. "Most American Jews are not aware of this process of terror and intimidation, although most of the same American Jews are eloquent enough in their condemnation of tactics not vastly different, employed by one Joe McCarthy."
