A call for unity among the Protestant, Catholic and Jewish religious groups on the settlement of post-war issues was sounded last night as the biennial session of the General Council of Congregational Christian Churches came to a close.
A resolution was unanimously adopted urging immediate conversations with other Protestant communions with a view to early mutual action and ultimate corporate union. And to a further end, the resolution urged that the united Protestant communions confer with Catholic communions and Jewish congregations to examine their several faiths in the light of the problems of the post-war world.
