The ninth convention of the Jewish Council of Greater New York will be held on Sunday afternoon and evening, April 14, in the Hotel Pennsylvania, it was announced yesterday. All affiliated local societies as well as new organizations which may wish to join have been asked to send delegates on the basis of one delegate for every fifty members of the society.
Addresses on current Jewish questions and communal needs will be delivered by Carl Sherman, president of the Zionist Region of Greater New York; Dr. Joseph Tenenbaum, chairman of the boycott committee of the American Jewish Congress; Max Silverstein, Grand Master, Order Brith Abraham; Abraham Goldberg, president, Histadruth Ivrith, and other Jewish leaders.
