Five state and interstate conferences of sections of the National Council of Jewish Women will meet in October and November, according to an announcement made by its executive secretary, Estelle M. Sternberger.
Mrs. Alfred Rosenstein of Philadelphia is president of the Pennsylvania Conference, which will hold its sessions at the Hotel Schenley, Pittsburgh, on October 19th, 20th and 21st. The national board of the National Council of Jewish Juniors, of which Miss Minnie Stein of Pittsburgh is president, will meet simultaneously in that city.
The Indiana-Kentucky conference, of which Mrs. J. M. Fuhrman of Louisville, is president, will meet at Temple Adath Israel, Louisville, on October 20th and 21st. New Haven, Connecticut will entertain the New England interstate conference on October 27th and 28th, the session being held at the Hotel Taft. Mrs. Israel Bernstein of Portland, Maine, is the president of the New England conference.
Mrs. Samuel Alschuler of Chicago heads the Illinois-Wisconsin-Minnesota conference of Council sections, which has selected Milwaukee for its annual session on October 28th and 29th. On November 2nd, 3rd and 4th, the Ohio-Michigan-West Virginia conference, of which Mrs. Siegfried Geismar of Cincinnati is president, will convene at the Hotel Sinton, Cincinnati.
