Counsel for Schwartzbard Succumbs to Poison

L. M. Goldstein, Russian Jewish lawyer, one of the counsel for Sholom Schwartzbard, who shot the pogrom leader Simeon Petlura, died here today under tragic circumstances.

Last Wednesday his wife, Sofia, active in Jewish welfare work, and president of the Friends of Jewish Students, died. Grief-stricken, Mr. Goldstein took poison on Friday and was taken to a hospital in a hopeless condition where he died.
