A Federal Court order was issued this week-end directing the State Department to issue a passport to Dr. Otto Nathan, executor of the estate of the late Dr. Albert Einstein. The government may appeal the decision.
The State Department has refused to specify what the charges against Dr. Nathan are, or to allow him to confront his accusers. Dr. Nathan, who has been trying to get a passport for the last two and a half years, said he wanted to go abroad to seek co-operation in making available an unpublished Einstein manuscript.
