Blackmail of Jews by “Der Angriff,” Berlin Nazi organ, for the purpose of extorting money, is revealed today by the Communist press.
The papers disclose that three Jewish owners of the banking concern of Franz Wulf, namely Israel Owczarow, Gerhardt Koifman and David Budnewitz, all hailing from Eastern Europe, were the target of continuous agitation by the Nazi organ.
Finally the Jews paid a Nazi Storm Troop leader, Heinrich Morr, the sum of 7,700 marks and the “Angriff” attacks ceased immediately.
The paper officially withdrew its allegations declaring that the bankers are respectable East European Jews. The matter did not rest there, however, as the Storm Troop leader entered a suit against the Jews on the ground that they had promised him an additional 20,000 marks, which he sought to collect.
The Communist papers quote as the source of their statements information contained in the court records.
