A 28-mile-wide crater on the moon will be named for the late Dr. Albert Einstein on the suggestion of the Washington Na### Observatory it was revealed this week end.
The observatory asked Dr. H. B. Wilkins, director of the British Astronomical Association’s lunar section to choose a crater. Dr. Wilkins’ nomination was “Simpelius D.” a crater near one named for Sir Isaac Newton.
(A memorial meeting in honor of the late Prof. Albert Einstein was held in Israel tonight at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Speakers included Meyer Weisgal, of New York, and well known members of the Institute faculties)
