An endowment fund of $100,000 for the new Graveraet High School, recently built here and named in honor of his grandfather, Robert J. Graveraet, one of the pioneers of this district was announced by Louis G Kaufman, President of the First National Bank and Trust Company here and of the Chatham Phenix National Bank and Trust Company of New York, on the eve of the formal opening of the new home of his Marquette bank.
Mr. Kaufman announced the establishment of the fund at a dinner given in his honor here. The income from this fund will be used “for the educational welfare of the children and people of Marquette,” Mr. Kaufman said.
